Another weekend with beautiful weather here in Dallas. We finally had a weekend without any plans, which was nice.
Friday we went to our new neighborhood pizza restaurant, Il Cane Rosso, which has the most amazing pizza in town. It's authentic Neapolitan style pizza (very thin crust, not a ton of cheese but good. high quality ingredients) and is made in a wood burning oven.

Saturday was sleeping in, running errands and then grilling shrimp burgers from Whole Foods. Sunday was laundry, homemade waffles for breakfast, a nice 5 mile run to the lake and then Cinco de Mayo appetizers of baked jalapeno poppers, guacamole, salsa and southwestern crab rangoons and blood orange margaritas on the patio. Watched a little telly and then off to bed so I could be at work bright and early.

We leave Friday for New Orleans so I am counting the days and hours until then!
