Our next door neighbor and great friend, Gary, invited us to spend a weekend at his dad's lake house a few weeks ago on Lake Cypress Springs in East Texas. We had an AMAZING weekend and incredible weather. It was great to get out of Dallas and enjoy some peace and quiet. Well, we weren't exactly quiet after a few bottles of wine but oh well.
We spent the weekend lounging around, grilling some awesome cedar plank salmon, playing horseshoes and washers outside, drinking wine and craft beers and building a huge fire in the fire pit. I even managed to get in a run by the lake on Saturday morning. Too bad it went by so fast!

We even took our sweet old dog with us though the poor thing could barely get up and down the stairs to get to the backyard (arthritis). You know it was a good weekend when more than one wine glass is accidentally broken. It ended up being a two glass weekend!
